How to Actually Make Changes

Secession won't work.  There is a way in the constitution that would allow for things to get done.  The way to do it is to amend the constitution.  There are four ways to do this and only two have been used to date:

1. The Senate and the House of Representatives both with two-thirds majority pass the amendment and it is passed on to the state legislatures where 3/4 have to ratify.

2. The Senate and the House pass the amendment with 2/3 and it is ratified by special conventions in 3/4 of the states.

3. Amendment is made at a national convention when requested by 2/3 of the states and then it is ratified by 3/4 of the states legislatures.

4. Amendment is made at a national convention when requested by 2/3 of the states and then is ratified in conventions of 3/4 of the states.
